“Wedding photographs are about a wedding; a wedding is not about the photographs.”
Years from now your memories of your wedding day will be shaped by your photographs. Your memories should be authentic and filled with the true emotions from your day. Creating fine art wedding photographs through photojournalism means reacting to rather than producing memories, photographing the event and not just the participants. As a result, the photographs are genuine, spontaneous and natural, and your collection of photographs will tell the truest story of your wedding. Photojournalistic coverage allows you more time to enjoy your wedding day and interact with your guests and each other.
Emma has been photographing weddings for more than 13 years and has a background in film photography and art and her second photographers are chosen carefully for their creativity and skill, and wedding experience. Emma is an award-winning member of four well-respected wedding photography associations: the prestigious Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA), the Artistic Guild of the WPJA (AG|WPJA), Fearless Photographers, and the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP).
Emma photographs each wedding with the same philosophy but the result is never the same, because each wedding is unique in its look and feel and because her viewpoint is that each wedding should be photographed to show its unique qualities and capture each individual moment in the best way possible.
“I love it when my photos bring tears to someone’s eyes or makes their cheeks hurt from smiling, and when my clients choose me as their wedding photographer because ‘photography is the most important detail’ to them in all of their wedding plans. I remember each and every client I’ve ever photographed. More and more I have guests approach me and tell me they’ve been watching me and I’m doing a great job! Each wedding I photograph I come away feeling honoured to be a part of such a big event in a couple’s life.”  Emma
